Today I cleaned a 4 oven AGA that had been involved in a flood. An upstairs radiator had failed and water had gone down to the kitchen below. The kitchen ended up in 3 inches of water and the AGA ended up with a greasy / tar like layer on top of it. This layer was pretty thick and very sticky and was all over the top of the AGA including the lids. As the owner said "under that is a very shiny AGA"
It was quite difficult to clean but underneath the sticky mess was indeed a lovely shiny AGA. It took me another half an hour on the usual 3 hours I take to clean a four oven AGA; but it was worth it in the end.Google+
