OvenCleaning TV New Video Showing New Dip Tank For New Franchisee

By Graham Rogers | Uncategorized

Here is a video that I recorded last week of our new Franchisees van fit. This is the standard of fit that all new OvenGleamers franchisees are going to get. The van here is the Nissan NV200 which I can say I was totally impressed with. Though a bit larger than I have been used to it it a fabulous driving position and drove really well. We partitioned off the back of the van and then had it lined with plastic welding the joins to get it water tight. It was a fabulous job. The other things we did was to fit a LCD light in the central compartment and of course fit the oven cleaning dip tank and the rinse tank that we use. For the oven cleaning dip tank we added insulation and had that covered in plastic too. So in the end a really neat job that looked the business to of course do the business.

The video sound isn't 100% I was using a new microphone on top of the camera but I didn't notice how windy it was. So the microphone was knocking against the side of the camera bracket – hence the clicking noise.

I am also doing videos for each of days training so they will be up next.

Oven Cleaning Franchisee Bradley Walsh Training Day 2 week 2

By Graham Rogers | Uncategorized

Imag1070

Today I'm out training our new franchisee Bradley Walsh who is the new OvenGleamers Franchisee for North Hants. This is day two of week 2. Yesterday we went through the process ofi cleaning an AGA cooker using the one in the office and alsou practised taking doors off and the self cleaning panels of the Creda Concept cooker we have in our office too. So Brad now knows the AGA cleaning process and how to completely strip down the Creda. Also we went through the process of cleaning a ceramic hob. Yesterday afternoon we cleaned a VERY dirty Zanussi single oven with five burner hob and huge extractor unit. The extractor was very unusual in that it had two filters one on the back on the splashback and one where you'd expect to find it.

This morning Brad is cleaning a double range cooker which has two 60cm extractors above it.  This afternoon it is back to the office again to have some more practise on the oven doors and AGA doors.

Cleaning AGA with Module

By Graham Rogers | Uncategorized

Here is a video of me cleaning an AGA with a module which I cleaned at the beginning of this year when the weather was cold, I remember being outside in the bitter cold. For those of you wh don't know what a module is it is really a conventional oven that has been given the AGA look so that it can be attached to your 2 oven AGA and not look out of place, it is also know as an AGA Four Two – four burners and two ovens (there is an AGA Six Four – six burners and four ovens and you take off the self cleaning sides in the same way). People tend to have them so that they can switch their AGA off in the Summer months and save some money and not be uncomfortable in the kitchen. Though what happens is that they end up using the module more than the AGA so generally the module can be very dirty and the AGA not that dirty. For this AGA the self cleaning panels in the module were black in carbon. So I removed them and dipped them in the oven cleaning dip tank in the van. Really this gives a very good result and they look like new again after this has been done. To take the sides off can be a bit tricky as some of the screws are difficult to see so it is a case of feeling them and then unscrewing them. The side racks come off first and then the panels. The back self cleaning panels may have the thermostat wire on them so this has to be removed. I have a look and see if it is going to benefit with a dip before I remove it. The side racks have a up and a down with the lugs facing upwards; it is easy to forget this and put them back in the wrong way up. You don't find out that is wrong until you try and put the clean racks back into the rails.

Oven Cleaning Bracknell

By Graham Rogers | Uncategorized

Here is Simon Green our Berkshire franchisee with his van with the OvenGleamers logos on. Simon who started last November has recently had his most successful month since his

first one last year (as he started at the end of November last year) – he was booked up doing 2 and 3 ovens a day for the whole of December and then the number of jobs dropped down
to the sort of level that you'd expect for a new business. Recently he has had a whole month where the number of ovens cleaned were as good as last December. Also if you look
at the photos Simon has lost some weight with all that exercise he has been getting!
Simon covers, Wokingham, Bracknell, Camberley, Crowthorne, Sandhurst and all surrounding areas for oven cleaning and AGA cooker cleaning.

Oven Gleamers Oven Cleaning Franchisees Are Go!

By Graham Rogers | Uncategorized

In the last week we have rebranded our oven cleaning franchisee in Berkshire from OvenGleam to OvenGleamers and also got a new van ready for a new franchisee for oven cleaning in Surrey and Hants. The new van is a Nissan NV200 and I have being driving it around for the last week or so getting it fitted out, sign written and ready. And wow it really is a great van and I really love it really because it does feel like a modern version of my Daihatsu Extol, the upright driving position is the same, the nippy driving is the same and that odd feeling that you are driving an arm chair with little wheels is there too! Also the feeling of space is there both in the cab and in the back. With the dip tank fitted in the back and partitioned off, the inner compartment is still nice and roomy to get all the cleaning stuff in. And the best feature is the small TV on the dashboard that shows you what is behind when you are reversing. Best of all it just looks fabulous with our logos on, though it would have looked a whole lot better it the sides had been flat! The phone number will be added to the back of the van, just incase you are wondering where it is.

This week is week one of two and today was the first franchisee training day. Today we have gone through Health and Safety, the paperwork, and looked at the ovens and AGA cooker that we have in our training kitchen and I have demonstrated our process of cleaning. In all a very good day.
