Student Oven Cleaning Exeter

By Graham Rogers | Uncategorized

Brazil's first match: At home against Exeter C...Image via Wikipedia

Yesterday Alan and I cleaned several ovens in student houses in Exeter. We have been cleaning these ovens for the same landlord every August for the last five years and he has about 12 houses. He likes to ensure that all the ovens are spotless for the new students moving in and he gives us a schedule with a list of all the properties and what needs to be done in each property. I originally did the whole lot on my own when I first did them and I did all the ovens on one Saturday from 0900 in the morning until 1900 in the evening, a whole lot of hard work. Yesterday we split the jobs into two and off we went. We cleaned most of them leaving one for Alan to clean today.

Oven Cleaning in Difficult Conditions

By Graham Rogers | Uncategorized

The Frankfurt kitchen was designed after Taylo...Image via Wikipedia

We get to clean ovens in strange locations, for example a common one is in the garage whilst the kitchen is being refitted; the customer wants it clean to go back into their new kitchen. I've also cleaned an oven in the hall as that was where it was, again, whilst the kitchen was having a refit. I've also cleaned a Rayburn Royal (it just looked fanstastic when it was finished as it was a stunning pillar box red), a Lacanche range cooker, and several standard double ovens before they were sold on Ebay.

We often get gallery kitchens where you can just about get the door down on a single oven. That is the space between the kitchen cabinets on one side of the kitchen and the other side is just a bit bigger than the length of the door. It means that to clean the oven becomes pretty difficult too as if the door doesn't come off then it's a case of cleaning the oven from the side.

Also a lot of the time customers will have their washing machine on whilst we are cleaning the oven which means that you are working next to a heat source that makes cleaning that much hotter.

AGA Cooker Cleaning in the Summer

By Graham Rogers | Uncategorized

This is the season for AGA cooker cleaning. Even those that don't appear to be that dirty will gleam like a new AGA once we have spent a couple of hours on it.

In the last week I myself have cleaned at least one AGA cooker a day and on one day I cleaned two.  Alan was also cleaning AGA cookers last week and he cleaned at least three.

Oven and AGA Cooker Cleaning Cirencester

I've been to Cirencester today to clean an AGA cooker. It was a four oven 30 Amp one and it came up looking brilliant.

I have cleaned at least an AGA a day this week. One lady has already booked me in to return next week as she didn't realise we also cleaned cookers other than AGAs.

All New AGA Cooker Cleaning

I'm trying out a new AGA cooker cleaning method at the moment. It's much the same as before but with added gleam that make the overall end result better. So we will see how it goes. I'm certainly getting more "that's fantastic" comments.

At the moment we are still cleaning lots of AGA cookers each week as now really is the season to get them cleaned.

AGA Stove Summer Cleaning

Now is the real AGA cooker cleaning season and we are cleaning quite a few each week. I have cleaned three this week already with one on each day. Really when the weather is good you can switch off the AGA and get it both cleaned and serviced.

AGA cookers can be tough to clean but with a bit of effort and skill it takes about two hours to clean a two oven AGA and three hours to clean a four oven AGA.
